SATURDAY 2ND & SUNDAY 3RD OCTOBER GROWING ON COMPETITION AND SPECIAL SALE WEEKEND 2021

Over this weekend we will be running our ever popular growing on competition. Whilst the format remains the same each year we endeavour to make improvements. This year any fish purchased will be housed on “grown on “ in our refurbished specialized growing on tunnel where we will have 3 ponds with a capacity of 10,000 gallons heated to 24 degrees c. each pond will be fitted with automatic feeders to supplement our usual regular hand feeding to maximise growth potential.
We will have available 250 high quality small koi all of which were born in June 2020. the koi available have been selected from the following breeders :-
Oofuchi, Yamazaki, Seitero, Takahashi, Hiroi, Miyatora, Matsunoskue, Marudo, Shinoda and Sakuma.
These fish have not been previously displayed in our retail area and will be priced between £35 & £225. all koi will be photographed and measured and kept in our refurbished indoor facility until Easter 2022 then cooled and made available for collection. The owner of the koi with the greatest increase in growth and also the owner of the koi showing the most improvement in quality will have their purchase price refunded and receive 100 value of the same quality food used during their growing period. Last years winning fish for growth was a gin shiro utsuri bred by Yamazaki that increased by 13cm and the winning fish for development was a doitsu Showa bred by Hiroi.

POND CONSTRUCTION
We design & build all types of pond from small formal water features up to small lakes. However we are best known for our high quality specialist koi ponds. BIO SECURITY
We have been at the forefront of koi quarantine for over 46 years and for the last 20 years have operated a fully bio secure quarantine area. We quarantine all koi we import from Japan for a minimum of 8 weeks and subject them to heat ramping 4 times, this combined with our close links with Japanese breeders and our membership of the Japan Koi Dealers Association enables us to hopefully offer for sale the healthiest koi possible.
CHRISTMAS / NEW YEAR
Our next open weekend will be our Christmas / New year event on Sunday 2nd January when fish purchased during the Autumn harvest will be on display for the first time having completed their 8 weeks quarantine. On this Festive Sunday we will be running our free BBQ with donations to Macmillan Charity.
