FIXED DATES FOR ANIVERSARY EVENTS.
29TH / 30TH MARCH 2025.
First special open weekend of the year
Small koi (Tosai) imported and quarantined over winter on display in the retail area for the first time. Koi from Autumn harvest 2024 on display in retail area for first time. Special offers on essential dry goods for the spring including :- u/v bulbs, w/germ and multi-season foods, blanket weed treatments and filter start up bacteria products.
EASTER SPECIAL WEEKEND 18TH / 19TH 20TH & 21ST APRIL.
For the whole weekend we will have our ever popular bbq running , free raffle with the prize being a £500 koi voucher for the winner.
Special offers on selected dry goods and bulk koi foods.
Growing on competition fish September 2024 to be collected
Winners of both growth and improvement competitions notified to collect their prizes.
JUNE 28TH & 29TH
We will have a stand at the BKKS National show with special quality koi available that have not been previously offered for sale in our retail area.
JULY 12TH & 13TH
This will be our main 5oth anniversary special open weekend featuring :-
5 show vats of special breeder specific koi not previously offered for sale. These include :-
Yamabuki from Izumiya,
Certificated Jumbo Tosai from Sakuma
Certificated Tosai showa from isa
Gin rin Kohaku from Maruyama
Shiro utsuri & kujaku from Omosako
Jumbo Chagoi from 1.2m parents from Marusei.
For both days 3 of our trade suppliers will have small display stands and be available to ask questions about their new product ranges. They will also have a number of special offers on there products which can be purchased from our shop.
BBQ Available both days.
OCTOBER 4TH & 5TH
Our ever popular annual “Growing on competition”
400 Higher grade smaller koi not previously offered for sale will be available. All koi will be measured and photographed any koi purchased will be kept by us at 24 degrees in our undercover growing on ponds for collection at Easter 2026.
Prizes are given for the 2 koi that increase in size the most. The average growth over this period is usually 9cm to 10cm with the best one being 17cm. Prizes are also given to the 2 koi that show the most development in quality. We will also have discounted winter foods available.
Our free £500 raffle will also be available all weekend.
BBQ will also be available all weekend.
LATE OCTOBER TO MID NOVEMBER.
We will be in Japan for our annual koi buying trip for the Autumn harvest. Over the last 45 plus years we have visited Japan over 60 times and are members of Shinkokai which is the Japanese dealers association and have judged Japanese koi shows including the All Japan Koi Show. This has allowed us to form good relationships with many of Japan's top breeders allowing us to source the best fish available for the most competitive prices. We visit all across of Japan including Fukuoka, Hiroshima, Niigata and Yamanashi regions so we should be able to source the koi you require.
If you have any specific koi requests please let us know your choices, sizes and budget and videos directly to you whilst we are in Japan.
FESTIVE OPEN DAY SUNDAY 28TH DECEMBER.
On this day we will have all our undercover facilities with over 60,000 gallons of heated water available to view to see for the first time stocks selected in Japan during our autumn harvest. Koi selected at the October grow on competition can also be viewed to check on their progress.
We will be running a free festive bbq from 9am to 4pm.
