Japan visit.
We will be visiting Japan during October-November and February to purchase as many quality koi as possible. We will also be harvesting some of our genuine tategoi that have been left growing on with the breeders.
A selection of fish purchased during the autumn harvest will be imported during mid November. These will be quarantined in our bio-secure quarantine area and can be purchased and kept by us for you until next spring with a money back guarantee in the unlikely event of there being any problems with your fish during the quarantine period.
Photographs of fish purchased by us and left in Japan will also be available for viewing. If you have any specific requests for koi of a certain size, variety or price we will endeavor to source them for you in Japan. Please contact us with details prior to October. If you are unable to visit us photographs of our Autumn harvest koi both held in Japan and at Wyboston will be on our website www.avenuefisheries.com from late November.
All koi are quarantined for a minimum of 6 weeks following the professional koi dealer’s association protocol. We have 5 separate quarantine areas holding in excess of 50,000 gallons, which have been independently certified as Bio-secure by Paula Reynolds BSC PHD BA.
