SPECIAL SALE WEEKEND & GROWING ON COMPETITION

Following the popularity and success of last years growing on competition we will be repeating the same format for this year. Last years fish that gained the greatest increase in length was a Hi-utsuri which increased by 13cm or about 5", most fish gained around 9cm in length as well as considerable bulk and improvement to body shape. This year we will have a special selection of 200 high grade one year old koi in price ranges :- £35 to £165.

Varieties and breeders available will include :- Shiro-utsuri's from Kobiyashi, Kumonryu, Shusui, Ochibashigura from Oofuchi- Doitsu Kujaku, Kujaku, Sanke, Showa from Miyatora- Hi-utsuri, Doitsu Sanke, Doitsu Kohaku, doitsu showa, doitsu sanke from Shinoda Kikukuru, Beni kikukuru, Matsuba from Miyatora.

Any of these special koi purchased can be left in Avenue fisheries Bio-secure growing on facility at 24 deg c until March 2012 when they will be gradually cooled and acclimatised for collection. All fish for the competition have been photographed and measured.

The owner of the fish with the biggest increase in length by March 31st 2012 together with the owner of the fish judged to have improved the most will have their full purchase price refunded and receive a free 2kg bag of Hikari Saki growth and a 5kg bag of Medicarp the same food as Avenue fisheries use throughout their facilities.

FREE £500 RAFFLE.

Throughout the weekend we will have our customary free raffle with the prize being a £500 voucher redeemable for koi of the winner's choice.

BBQ

Throughout the weekend Kirk and his assistant June will be manning the bar-b-q with bacon roll's hot dogs and burgers available.

Pond construction.

We design and build all types of ponds from small formal water features up to 350,000 gallon natural ponds; however we are best known for our high quality specialist koi ponds. We also undertake pond filtration install. Examples of some of our completed projects can be viewed elsewhere on this site.
