Koi Pond Bottom Drains

The bottom drain is possibly the single most important item to be included in any new pond build! Set into the floor of the pond it works in much the same way as the plug hole in your bath and sucks all the debris from the floor of your pond away via gravity to the settlement chamber of your filtration system.

This method of removing waste is far superior to relying on a pump on the bottom of your pond as, when waste is sucked through a pump, it is broken down into smaller fragments which are harder for your filtration to remove, this does not happen using a bottom drain as all the filtration is done prior to the water entering the pump.

The bottom drains we supply are unique in that they are fitted with a hinged lift up lid and feature a hemi spherical base to allow a smooth water flow. If the pipe work ever became blocked it is possible to lift the lid and rod the pipe as there is no central support tube (as found in cheaper, inferior drains) to obstruct the free flow of water. Because of the unique lid design it cannot be sucked down when purging the drain as in other drain designs.

Slide Valves & Ball Valves

Ball valves and slide vales are an essential part of any plumbing set up on a pond, they are required in order to allow you to isolate filters, pumps and other equipment from the pond for cleaning and essential maintenance.

With a range of cost effective slide valves being available along with a range of ball valves with single union fittings or double union fittings, we can supply exactly the fitting you need when you need it.
